The sun was high in the nearly cloudless sky as the ThornClan leader carefully picked his way through the tall pines that were scattered all throughout the territory he had recently claimed as ThornClan land. As he moved the grey pointed tabby tom remained on high alert he could just barely hear the crashing of waves which signaled he was nearing the sildenda cove. His whiskers twitched as the salty air tickled his nose and he noted the tall pines began to thin out and the ground beneath his paws became softer. As he trudged on soon the ground had shifted into pebbles and clay and the thick pines transitioned into thick foliage and sparsely covered oaks and birch. The salty air thickened and after a few more steps foliage broke and the leader could now see the beach shoreline. Continuing on Rookstar's paws soon began to sink into the cool sand and he finally stilled, his head turning to look down the shoreline. His eyes landed on a small nook in the rocky cove his ice blue eyes softening slightly at the memory of his first night after he had left CrystalClan.

It had been hard to leave the clan at first, but the tom knew he was destined for greater things and his birth clan wasn't what he needed to get there. He was happy with the choice he had made to leave, but there were still cats he missed and that he had wished followed him. His gaze had subconsciously moved from the cove to the direction that CrystalClan was situated. His pointed ears twitching... he wondered if he'd see anybody if he wandered close enough to the border. Did they miss him? Did they think he was a traitor? A deserter? He gave a low huff there was only one way to find out. The grey tom was once again on the move as he walked down the beach and began making his way towards the CrystalClan border.
